1 large potato, peeled
2 tbsp vegetable oil
season with kosher salt and pepper
Cut the potato lengthwise into ¼-inch thick slices. Lay each slice flat and cut lengthwise into fries about ¼ inch thick.
In a medium bowl, toss together the potatoes, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper until well coated
Place the fries in a single layer in the frying basket. Set the air fryer to 400°F for 20 minutes, shaking halfway through the cooking time, until the fries are crisp and lightly browned.
Turn the fries out onto a serving platter. Serve immediately with ketchup for dipping.
You should shake the fries several times while cooking to allow them to heat more evenly. Don’t forget to dip them in ketchup or mayonnaise!
