1 cup unsalted butter
½ cup vegetable shortening
14-ounce white granulated sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp baking soda
salt to taste
1 cup milk
½ cup of cocoa powder
4 tbsp olive oil
Prepare a suitable frying pan that can be put into the frying baskets, and brush its inner wall with olive oil.
Whip the butter, sugar, and vegetable shortening in a large container with a whisk. Add evenly stirred egg wash into the butter mixture and continue to stir until they are evenly mixed.
Evenly mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another large container. Slowly pour the butter mixture and vanilla extract into the dough in batches and stir constantly until they are well mixed to reach a smooth state.
Shape it to your desired shape and then place the dough in the frying pan. Place the pan to the frying baskets with a clip.
Replace the frying baskets into the air fryer and set the air fryer to 350℉ for 60 minutes. Press the Start button to start cooking.
When the cooking time completes, withdraw the frying basket and move the cake to a plate. Slice the cake and enjoy!
