I was really excited to get this waffle maker because I make my pandan waffles with it since my favorite dessert shop is closed due to the pandemic.
It is very easy to make waffles with this waffle maker. All you have to do is turn it on and pull your favorite batter in and it locks so that you get your perfect square waffle shape.
My favorite feature of this waffle maker is that you can pop out the metal plates to thoroughly wash it.
In addition, I really like that the cable doesn’t just hang out you can wrap it around the underside to keep it tidy. Both of these features are great to keep the kitchen clean.
If you have trouble opening the door of the waffle maker, you are supposed to press on the top plastic tab to release the door. ignore the confusing symbols that point left and right. You are supposed to press down not slide left or right. I wasted a good five minutes trying to figure out this part.
The only downside of this waffle maker is that a lot of steam gets trapped when the door closes due to locking in place. You have to gently pop open the door and let the steam out so that your waffles don’t get soggy.
In addition, I find it hard to clean the outside edge of the plastic if you accidentally overpour your batter and it gets outside. It’s seeps into the edge and it’s really hard to get out. If you are first starting, make sure you pour less batter than what you need because it will expand and overflow. This is not a flaw but something you have to learn as you go.
Overall this is a great waffle maker and I recommend it for anyone who wants to start making their own breakfast.
