I have a new baby and the most important feature I was looking for in a sterilizer is also having a drying function. No one with a new baby has time to dry the parts after they’re done! This does a nice job drying, small flat pieces sometimes need an extra wipe with a towel if the air flow can’t get underneath but I try to prop up smaller pieces to help with that.
Right out of the box this was easy to use. The instruction manual is helpful and clear. I washed all the parts with my bottle soap and rinsed it off then ran my first cycle. Everything I put in was rinsed and washed with the bottle soap first to get off milk residue. Water is added to the bottom using the measuring cup provided, I believe it’s 130ml. Using distilled water is recommended so the sediment from tap water doesn’t build up on the heating plate. If you do use tap you’ll need to descale it frequently, the manual has instructions on how to do that. Once everything is loaded just push one button to turn on the machine and one button to select sanitize/dry. It has both a long cycle and a short cycle, the shorter is something like 40 minutes and the long closer to 60. You can also just sanitize or just dry if desired. It has a baby food heating function that can supposedly also cook eggs but that seems odd to me so I haven’t used that. When the cycle was complete it beeped to let me know and everything seemed dry and ready to go save the few things I mentioned before. I wish it came in a more neutral color but other than that I love it.
Heads up it does ship in its own box so no hiding what you’re getting if it’s a gift.
