Due to the recent shelter in place orders, I’ve made a few adjustments to recreate a type of bikram yoga environment at home! This humidifier fits the purposes of achieving the moisture in the air needed. Whether or not it’s the most accurate reading, I wouldn’t quite know as the starting humidity always seems to be about 45% (per it’s reading). 🤔 I doubt my room has 45% humidity! I digress.
Typically, a bikram yoga studio is supposed to have about 40% humidity in a 105 degrees room. I have a space heater that brings the heat level of my room higher; the combo of humidifier and space heater definitely helps! I use the humidifier at the warmest level (great function, and biggest selling point for me, btw) and humidity at the highest it’ll go. A space heater is also more cost efficient than turning on my heat. I’m awaiting another heating element (heat dish) to arrive, hopefully to bring up the temperature needed to relieve the toxins in my body. I have an autoimmune condition and the heat achieved through bikram yoga helps alleviate the pain I feel throughout my entire body. I feel like this humidifier delivers as intended. 4 stars for quality, a star less due to inaccurate humidifier reading, design (other reviewers are right; it’s a bit cumbersome to fill then flip the tank), and difficulty with the remote. Maybe I haven’t read enough reviews to figure out how to insert the battery for it. If I fill the whole tank, this can last me about 3 separate sessions of bikram yoga (which is 90 minutes each). I also have to factor in heating the room up for at least an hour prior to the bikram yoga session. I’ve used this for about a month now and will see how it lasts; so far, it’s pretty good.
Hope this helps in the determination of your purchase! I haven’t tried keeping it on all night as some have.
